The ESA organization, which has organized the famous E3 gaming fair for many years, announced the permanent cancellation of this event. So, after several years of gradual decline, E3 will not return in the future. In recent years, the fair has struggled with declining interest from major publishers, who have begun to prioritize their own separate events. The latest blow to the event was the coronavirus pandemic, which caused the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 editions. Despite the efforts of the organizers, the event has also been canceled in the last two years.

In June of this year we learned that the fair would not take place even in 2024 and 2025, foreshadowing the final end announced today. The completion of E3 was first announced by the head of the aforementioned ESA company, Stanley Pierre-Louis, in an interview with The Washington Post magazine, whose statement was subsequently accompanied by official farewell statement on the official E3 website and social networks.

Despite the end of the traditional fair, which has been an integral part of the gaming industry for over two decades, this does not mean that we will be deprived of major gaming events in the future. In addition to select conferences from major game publishers, players can look forward to Geoff Keighley and his Summer Game Fest eventwhich in recent years, since E3, has acquired the imaginary status of the main summer gaming event of the traditional June semester.
