Company Star Breeze boasted about Baxter’s project. This is a new game that takes place in the world. Dungeons and Dragons, is built on Unreal Engine 5 and is described as an adventure game. It will be released on major platforms in 2026. This means at least on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The creators of Payday intend to stay true to their style, and Project Baxter will include co-op multiplayer, cross-platform play and post-launch support. Related to this is the endless replayability that both Payday and Dungeons & Dragons are known for.

When we were looking for potential brands for our future projects, Dungeons & Dragons was always at the top of our list, and I am thrilled to announce the acquisition of this license.” Tobias Sjögren, CEO of Starbreeze, did not hide his enthusiasm.
“Development is well underway and we look forward to delivering a fantastic Dungeons & Dragons adventure in 2023.” added Sjögren, thanking Wizards of the Coast for being a great partner.
