In November 2021, Rockstar released an updated three-part collection of the Grand Theft Auto series, which included GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. However, the developers from the Grove Street Games studio, who were tasked with developing the collection, could not meet the players’ expectations. Individual games in the collection received criticism both from a graphics and optimization point of view, resulting in overall reviews that are barely average. On the aggregator Metacritic, for example, the collection has a rating of 54%.

We have just learned that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, following the PC versions and PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, will also be released on Android and iOS mobile platforms. It will happen under the Netflix banner, whose services the collection will exclusively go to. It’s unclear whether GTA Trilogy for mobile will be available without a subscription at some point in the future. It will be released on Netflix on December 14th.
