CD Projekt RED boasted the sales results of the first and at the same time the last story expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Over a million units have been sold since the last update.
In the first week, the Polish studio reported that Phantom Freedom passed the three million copies mark. It now has 4.3 million units. CD Projekt RED is very pleased with the release. CEO Adam Kiciński recalled the improvements to the game. “This is an important achievement given our plans for the further development of the series,” – he remarked.
Unfortunately, sales of the game itself have not updated. This leaves Cyberpunk 2077 with over 25 million copies sold. As of 2015, The Witcher 3 has sold over 50 million copies.
It’s possible that CD Projekt RED will update sales of Cyberpunk next, as it releases on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 5th. Definitive editionincludes the original game and Phantom Liberty.
In the third quarter of the year, CD Projekt made an operating profit of 186.24 million zlotys, compared to 97.3 million zlotys at the same time a year ago. Half of the staff is now working on the new Witcher.
