Almost exactly a year ago we informed you about the exhibition new Czech game called Vranygrai, the action of which will take place in the conditions of Great Moravia. Now the developers, led by the main author of the entire project, Ivan Kubal, are again asking to speak. In a new developer diary published on Steam, Dire Badger studio representatives describe the current state of the game and plans for the future.
For example, in recent months the developers have been working on graphics and optimization. “So, in an effort to make the game the best it could be, I took a step back and reworked some of the technical and graphical aspects to create a stronger foundation for the project to build on.– says Ivan Kubal, the author and developer of the game, whose work on the project no longer happens only in his free time, but since September has become full-time.
The game currently also has a world ready for the base version with a vertical slice and contains the core gameplay mechanics. Artificial intelligence and a combat system are also gradually being introduced. According to them, the authors are currently being sent to completion of the first playable demo, in which you can explore individual villages and their surroundings or meet your first enemy. After completing this early version of the game, called a mini-vertical slice, the developers want to contact potential publishers.
“Given the production plan (including projected team size), a mini version of VS will already be offered to potential publishers, and I firmly believe full production should begin no later than summer 2024.“, the authors add. Vranigray will be included in the popular action adventure genre with RPG elements. In addition to being set in Great Moravia, the authors call for a rich plot based on real historical events and Slavic mythology. You can add the game to your wishlist on Steam right now.
