Do you still remember the platformer? Scythe? This indie wonder was released 15 years ago and became one of the most popular games of its generation. Tekla Inc. decided to release the game again in an anniversary edition with improvements.
Anniversary edition of Braid It will feature improved sound effects, a newly recorded soundtrack, updated graphics hand-drawn by original game artist David Hellman, smoother movement thanks to additional animation, and the ability to switch between the Anniversary and Original versions of the game at will.
Fans will be provided with commentary from members of the original development team. This is expected to be over 15 hours of talk time. You can find out behind the scenes stuff. Commentators will include creator Jonathan Blow, sound designer Hans Christian Kock, sound designer and composer Martin Stig Andersen, programmer Casey Muratori and others.
Braid Anniversary Edition will be released on April 30, 2024 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and mobile devices. It has Netflix exclusivity for Android and iOS. Versions for Mac and Linux will follow later.
