At the beginning of October, Sony introduced a new “Slim” version of the PlayStation 5 console in both digital and disk versions with a removable drive. Now the launch date has probably reached us through unofficial means. Behind the leak is a well-known insider with the nickname Billbil-kun, according to whom the new version will be released on November 10.. Insider Gaming magazine also talks about the same term, but states that for now it only applies to Japan and North America. Therefore, it is possible that the console will be released on the European market on a slightly different date.
Billbil-kun also mentions arrival of a new set, which, in addition to the console, should also include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. From the announcement we already know that the new options will cost 450 euros for the digital version and 550 euros for the mechanical version. Among the main novelties of the new editions are smaller dimensions and weight, the aforementioned removable mechanism, an increased size of the SSD drive and a new shape of the stand, which, however, will be sold separately. Performance remains identical to the original versions.
