British authorities have given preliminary approval to the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

British Competition Authority (CMA) pre-approved purchase Activision Blizzard from the outside Microsoft. At the same time, the store was the last to be blocked; in other countries, the acquisition was approved; in the USA, Microsoft won a lawsuit with local authorities.

The CMA has considered Microsoft’s proposal to sell streaming rights in the UK and other countries outside Europe to the French company. Ubisoft. “The CMA has identified some ongoing problems with the new agreement, and Microsoft has proposed remedies that the CMA preliminary finds should address these problems,” the agency wrote.

“We are pleased to see positive changes to the CMA review process. “We have submitted proposed solutions that we believe fully address the CMA’s remaining concerns regarding cloud game streaming, and will continue to work to obtain approval for closure before the October 18 deadline,” Microsoft’s president tweeted. Brad Smith.

Just until October 18 Microsoft is forced to close the deal; extending the deadline will lead to additional financial obligations to Activision Blizzard. This is also the last day on which the CMA can communicate its final decision. However, it must arrive after October 6, when the office completes consultations on the acquisition.
