Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will run on Unreal Engine 5

At the end of last week, after a long wait, Paradox Interactive announced new information about Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. We learned that the development of the developers from Hardsuit Labs taken over by British studio The Chinese Room, which has made games like Dear Esther, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs or Everything’s Gone to the Rapture in the past. The authors also announced that the game will be released in the fall of 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Sim Greaney, VP of Paradox’s World of Darkness brand, recently shared more information in an interview with Digital Trends magazine, saying the game’s development has already reached alpha. It was thanks to this event that the company was able to start talking about the game publicly, as well as announcing an approximate release date. Greaney is confident that, despite previous problems, the deadlines will be met. At the same time, it became clear that the game will run on modern fifth generation Unreal Engine.which will allow developers to work with technologies such as Lumen and Nanite.
