Xbox Game Pass testing for friends and family ends

Microsoft announced the end of subscription testing Xbox Game Pass for family and friends. “To be able to evaluate everything that we have come up with in recent months and prepare a proposal that we can present to all users,” explains the company and thanks everyone for their interest and participation.

“It was great to see our Game Pass Ultimate subscribers sharing the Game Pass fun with their friends and family,” adds a press release. The test schedule ends on August 15, 2023.. There is currently no indication of when or under what terms this subscription will be available.

Existing Primary and Secondary Members should receive details via email today describing this change. As of July 17, Master account holders will not be able to add new members to their general membership.

“Starting on 7/15/2023, we’ll be sending out Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Preview codes as a thank you for joining our program (for both primary and secondary members) based on your primary account holder’s remaining time, as shown in the table” .

Xbox Game Pass for friends and family was not officially tested in our country, but we managed to get into the program. The subscription cost 21.99 euros per month (about 540 CZK) and allowed sharing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (with EA Play) between 5 players from the same country.

• Your shared Friends & Family subscription must be active on August 15, 2023 to be eligible for this subscription. To cancel or change your membership, sign in with your Microsoft account.
• We’ll send you a custom code (or multiple codes) to your Xbox account on your console and to the Xbox app on PC.
• Codes must be redeemed using the Xbox account you used to participate in your current Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family membership.
• All members of your group plan will also receive the same personalized offer so you can continue to play together.
