Even Sony will soon have its own controller that will strive to the maximum make the PlayStation 5 game world accessible to gamers with disabilities. The product is called Access, formerly codenamed Project Leonardo, now has an officially confirmed price and release date. We will see it this year.
The driver that Sony and its partners have been working on for the past five years will go on sale December 6 at a suggested price of 89.99 euros., which corresponds to 2100 CZK. However, pre-orders will begin as early as next Friday, that is, July 21.
Unlike Microsoft’s Xbox Adaptive Controller, Access is developed by the Japanese company Sony. round device, around the perimeter of which there are buttons. The design is designed to provide players with disabilities with the greatest possible comfort. Unlike classic controllers, which may be inconvenient for some people with disabilities, Access put on a table or other surface. In addition to the buttons on it, there is also a special ledge with a joystick, which can also be configured.
In addition to the fact that the whole project looks like an extraordinary hardware solution, future owners can also count on rich software support. Previously, Sony boasted a unique interface in which it will be possible to change various Access settings – for example, the functions of individual buttons – and save them in profiles.
