After the release of the trailer for the second Alan Wake, we received additional information on the official website. First, we learned that, unlike other major games, Alan Wake 2 will only be released digitally and not in a boxed version. Remedy attributes this to the growing popularity of digital purchases and the higher cost of physical copies. Therefore, the price is set at €59.99 on consoles and even just €49.99 on PC.
There are two versions of the game that you can pre-order right now. The Standard Edition will only offer the base game. The Deluxe Edition for €79.99 (€69.99 on PC) additionally includes various cosmetic bonuses and an expansion pass with two story expansions. The first is called Night Springs, and the second is Lake House. We don’t know the details yet, and both DLS will be available after the main game launches. All players who pre-order the game will receive a special skin for Alan and Saga, the playable characters.
Alan Wake 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
