Shuhei Yoshida was honored by the organizers for his lifetime contribution to the gaming industry. Yoshida received the same award late last year at the international game conference in Bilbao, Spain, formerly known as the Fun & Serious Game Festival. Yoshida was an early contributor to the PlayStation project. In 2008, he became President of SCE Worldwide Studios (now PlayStation Studios), a position he held until 2019. Thus, he was the head of PlayStation Studios during the heyday of the Japanese company. Today, Shuhei Yoshida leads PlayStation Indies, overseeing investments in indie games and helping bring them to the PlayStation console.
