An indie creator with the pseudonym ScureHD has created extensive graphic modification for the already iconic action game Battlefield 1942. It was this work in 2002 that laid the foundation for the entire series, and later inspired a number of other multiplayer action games.
Modifications mainly offers high resolution textures, which you can recognize on individual objects and models as environments, terrain, backgrounds, vegetation, weapons, or vehicles. Some textures reach up to 4K resolution.
The author himself adds that he redid all the textures manually. The visibility of individual objects, the color palette and other smaller elements have also received adjustments.
