After almost four years of early access underwater 2D simulator makes it into the final version. Daedalic Entertainment has announced that version 1.0 will be released on March 13, 2023.
The developers praise the active community and report that over 2.5 million players have played Barotrauma. Now they are preparing an important update for them with many new features and content.
Since the beginning of Early Access, the developers have gradually expanded and improved the game. Among other things, they reworked the campaign, added new monsters, missions, research bases and submarine wrecks, improved graphics and environments, implemented a scripted event system and a talent system for character development, and much more.
In the game, players take control of a multi-person submarine crew. explores the depths of Jupiter’s frozen moon Europa and complete various missions. You are in charge of the control of the submarine and give orders to the crew to fight off everything that comes your way, including strange creatures, alien ruins and deadly radiation. You can play barotrauma alone or in collaboration with up to 16 people.
Name inspired by games like FTL: Faster Than Light, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress and Space Station 13.. This is a sci-fi game that combines ragdoll physics, deep sea invaders, teamwork and existential fear.
