Do you enjoy the gritty battle royale of Dark and Darker, combining a new genre with a genre that has been around for over thirty years? Well, we have great news for you. At the request of the community, and possibly you, the playtest has been extended a bit.
The reason for this move was primarily due to a number of bugs and unstable servers that have plagued players over the past few days. The creators themselves comment on this in their statement as follows: “Due to earlier trading post outages, matchmaking, and wasted game time by players who were illegally banned, we have decided to extend the playtest until February 16th. We also plan to use this time to resolve issues that cause inconvenience to players and to continuously improve the game.“.
While in the past the leaderboard was split into two levels, this time you can only count on one, so you’ll probably sweat more while you play. An actual release date for Dark and Darker is not yet known, but it will likely release on PC sometime in 2023.
