A few days ago, the launch trailer of the expected Dead Space remake was released, and with other news, the developers from Motive did not sit idly by. Friday night they published official requirements for HW and mods on consoles.

We’ll start with the latter since we didn’t know at all how the game would work on Xbox and PlayStation. It must be said that the tweet is pretty general and looks like it’s only about the PS5 and XSX and not the weaker Series S, hopefully we’ll get more details in time. In any case, there should be two modes to choose from, as we have become accustomed to lately. Quality mode aimed at 4K resolution (not specified if it is native or dynamic) with ray tracing at 30 FPS. Then the second option performance mode in 1440p without ray tracingnose 60 frames per second.

As for the hardware requirements, they remain the same as those we wrote about a few months ago. Minimum specs include a Radeon RX 5700 and GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card and a Ryzen 5 2600X or Core i5-8600 processor.

To meet the recommended, you must prepare at least a Radeon RX 6700 XT or GeForce RTX 2070. The processor requirements are quite high, the Ryzen 5 5600X and Core i5-11600K are listed here.

Both also require an operating system of at least Windows 10, support for DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM and at least 50 GB of free disk space, ideally an SSD.

Dead Space Remake releases on January 27 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
