Today we boldly associate Studio Skunkape with remasters of episodic point-and-click adventures starring Sam and Max, created in the past by Telltale Games. At the end of 2020, thanks to the developers at Skunkape, we received a remaster of the first season, which was released in 2006 and 2007 under the name Sam & Max Save the World, and at the end of last year, the second series was released under the name Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space, the original version who we could meet in 2007 and 2008 for a change.

But the creators never they didn’t hide that they would like to redo the whole trilogyso once fans successfully complete Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space Remastered, they can look forward to the final series remaster. Some hoped that we would get a remaster again a year after the release of the previous project Skunkape. And this despite the fact that Devil’s Theater differs in many ways from the previous two seasons., be it gameplay or technical side. But this did not happen in the end, and only now, at the beginning of the new year, the studio outlined its plans for the future.
Project Sam and Max: The Devil’s Theater Revamped is actually in development and we will see it sometime in 2023. Unfortunately, the developers didn’t provide more information, but at least we have the first trailer hinting at what the Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse series remaster will look like. The authors also beckon a clash with an ancient, formidable evil that awaits in the endless darkness beyond human comprehension.
Unfortunately at the moment it’s even impossible to say for sure on which platforms Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse Remastered will be released. But sooner or later, remasters of the previous two seasons have been released for PC, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Seriex X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, so it’s likely that we’ll be able to play The Devil’s enhanced version on all of these platforms, and See also Playhouse.
