This September, we saw the official announcement of several titles from the popular Assassin’s Creed series, led by a game subtitled Mirage that will be released next year. It was originally supposed to be released in the spring, but a new report from Insider Gaming magazine says otherwise.
According to well-known insider Tom Henderson’s sources, the Mirage is due to arrive next August. The game is reported to have already experienced two internal delays, the reason may be the need for optimization on the latest generation of consoles, but this has not been confirmed.
If anything, it also adds information about two other announced games codenamed Red and Hexe. The first, set in feudal Japan, secretly began to run into problems during development. Although the game is reportedly aimed at 2024, Henderson wouldn’t be surprised if there is an internal push towards 2025.
In contrast, the sorcerous Hexe project is said to be doing very well and moving slowly from proof-of-concept phase to full-scale production. The game is due out in 2026.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
