Dead Island 2, which has been in development for almost 10 years, was once again announced at Gamescom this year. During this time, several developers changed, but eventually settled on Dambuster Studios. We tested the title right in Cologne and it looked like we’d get it on February 3rd as planned. However, this time he did not escape some delay.
The developers shared the news on Twitter with a short message that immediately gets to the point – Dead Island 2 will be released. April 28, 2023that is, less than three months after the original deadline.
“We understand the irony of Dead Island 2’s delay and are no doubt as disappointed as you are. The delay is only 12 weeks, and now the development is at the finish line. We will take the time it takes to release a game that we are proud of. For those of you who have been waiting for years, thank you for being with us.” says in the statement.
Finally, the studio also shared some good news. On December 6th we will get a new trailer and gameplay demo in a special Dead Island 2 Showcase. You can watch it on Twitch, YouTube and the official website.
The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
