The author of the Czech game Vranygrai reveals exclusive details

On Monday we informed you about the announcement of a new Czech game called Vranygrai. This is a story-driven action adventure with RPG elements that will take you to the period of Great Moravia. Ivan Kubal, the author of the game, also joined the discussion under our news. revealed some more details.

In response to questions from our readers, he mentioned, for example, that the idea of ​​the game was born while reading books by the Slovak writer Juraj Cervenak. Ivan Kubal further mentioned that Vranygray combine historical realities with mythology, which he considers part of our history. Thus, we can attribute the game to the genre of historical fantasy, where its plot and setting fall, for example, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

The author further explains semi-open world setting, which, according to him, will create a richer world, which, however, will not be so demanding on the development time. In this regard, it is assumed that Vranygrai was inspired by the construction of the map from older parts of the Gothic series. In other messages about the game, the developer says that the game now he works mostly alone. According to the information on the official website, two other members of the studio help with music and processing of historical realities with mythology.

However, in the future, the author does not exclude cooperation with other external collaborators who would help complete the game. Currently under development is in early alphaso it’s still a long time before the release. For this reason, the author encourages players to be indulgent with the current form of the game and the introductory trailer. Of course, optimization will come later.
