We are a hit factory, Take-Two’s CEO confidently told investors, saying they haven’t had a single disappointment in as long as he can remember. He called it the most important.

Strauss Zelnik is convinced that it is better to delay the game than to hit the flop. One can only agree with this. However, it is fair to recall what the Grand Theft Auto trilogy turned out to be. The remastered parts of GTA 3, San Andreas and Vice City came out in a terrible state. Since then, developers have been trying to fix the situation.

The publisher of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Mafia, Borderlands, NBA 2K, Civilization or BioShock has long said it wants to bring games to market faster. But this does not mean a decrease in their quality. It seems to be very high. This is evidenced by the shift in the schedule of upcoming releases. There have been minor schedule changes for some games in development. He specifically mentioned 2K mobile game Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Kerbal Space Program 2.

Take-Two Interactive Studios is preparing this:

  • 24 games described as Immersive Core
  • 10 independent games
  • 28 mobile games
  • 7 midcore games
  • 8 new versions of previously released games (remasters, remakes)

Immersive Core are games with deep gameplay and hours of content. This includes GTA, Red Dead Redemption or NBA 2K. Mid-Core are arcade games like WWE Battlegrounds as well as smaller games like New Tales from the Borderlands.

Zelnick believes that the upcoming games will be successful, and the company will achieve record results in the next three years. Yes, unless something major happens, Take-Two wants to release that number of games by March 2025. It is expected that by this date Grand Theft Auto 6. However, the new BioShock should also be on the list. It also includes the recently released horror The Quarry, as well as the upcoming remakes of the first and second Max Payne from Remedy and Rockstar.
