The continuation of the Polish hit almost a decade ago is coming. Makpixel 3 (even though there is no McPixel 2) will be released on 14.11 this year on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
Devolver Digital claims it’s the long-awaited return of the 8-bit genre’s greatest hero and the sequel to the mysteriously canceled McPixel 2. It’s waiting for you comedy adventurein which you dive into bumbling superherowho embarks on a new series of crazy adventures in an attempt to save the world.
The hero will try to prevent a catastrophe at every step, using non-standard, but always entertaining methods of lawlessness.
“One moment you are stuck in an uncontrolled train heading for a cliff, and the next you are in a falling plane. Sometimes you have to win an impossible football match, and sometimes you’re a dinosaur trying to hide from a meteorite. Stuck in a burning house? Stuck between two warring armies? This is definitely not a problem for McPixel! 100 levels of dynamic action are waiting for you!’ says in a press release.
In addition to this, you will encounter other things in the world more than 20 mini-games of different genres. From racing to shooting, combat and sports, maybe platformers or first person shooters. The solutions to the puzzles are absurd and require out-of-the-box thinking.. So, you are waiting for 100 levels and more than 1500 interactive objects.
Interestingly, the game will run even on very old computers, including those with operating systems. Windows 95 as well as Windows NT. Due to very low hardware requirements, we will likely see ports for other hardware and systems over time. Steam lists Pentium 4 2.8 GHz / AMD Athlon 2600+, 512 MB RAM, Direct X 9.0 compatible video card, and 300 MB free disk space.
