Half-Life is one of the defining FPS of the genre as such. Therefore, it is not so surprising that a number of works are trying to be published in his footsteps. However, this work is distinguished by the fact that it should not be a spiritual successor, but an unofficial continuation, as the title that it bears indicates to some extent. Created by the Velocity Punch team, Half-Life: Reamped was originally developed as a mod for Half-Life 2. However, over time, it has evolved into something that its creators really want to get on Steam.
It is intended to be a continuation of the Half-Life 1 story set in an alternate timeline in which Gordon turned down the G-Man’s offer. Gameplay-wise, it’s supposed to be a combination of Halo and Doom, so we can look forward to a fast-paced FPS that sees Freeman transform into a hunter who has no problem hunting down alien opponents directly. In addition to well-known opponents, the developers also bring newcomers who have not yet encountered. However, all allies are deadly and adapted to the pace of the game. However, according to its creators, their creation must be something more.
A release date for Half-Life: Reamped has yet to be announced. However, it is very likely that there will be another name change before its release, just like other projects.
Half-Life has an unofficial sequel inspired by Halo, Quake and Doom. And soon it will appear on Steam.
