Seems Death Thread 2 really arises. Continuation of the original from of. Kojima Productions actor Norman Reedus confirmed some time ago – apparently not quite according to plan – in an interview with Leo Edit magazine. While this is an extremely reliable sign, we may have to wait for the full announcement. Insider Dusk Golem now details Death Stranding 2 in a long paragraph.

“Death Stranding 2 is in development,” he writes, adding that the game will have a codename. Ocean. He goes on to give insight into the details of the legal relationship between Sony and Kojima: “Kojima has a long-term agreement with Sony and it is currently being analyzed whether they should renew it after DS2. But it was never in doubt because Kojima Productions and Sony have a multi-game deal.”

Dusk Golem also denies rumors that Death Stranding 2 should be developed in collaboration with Microsoft, Google or another company. This makes sense since Sony owns the intellectual property rights.

However, Kojima does work with Microsoft, probably on a game known as Overdose. It is speculated to be a horror film, likely starring actress Margaret Qualley, who appeared in Death Stranding. Kojima recently teased his game (Obviously Overdose) with a digital poster with a silhouette of a woman, but fans probably correctly identified him as another actress, Elle Fanning.

How things are with all (or at least some) projects of a famous producer, we will be able to find out in the near future. Notifications are offered on Game Awards hosted by Geoff Keighley.
