The full beta for Modern Warfare 2 is on the way, and players will be using Call of Duty cheats, which will only make things worse for the rest of us. Don’t worry, developer Infinity Ward is aware of this issue and says it will start taking action soon so we can all enjoy the crazy FPS game the way it was meant to be.
Even when it comes to the best multiplayer games, cheating and hacking will always be an issue, but that doesn’t mean developers aren’t against it, and Infinity Ward is no exception. The team says they will take action against the ubiquitous Call of Duty cheaters in the Modern Warfare 2 beta, and those actions will be taken today.
“Tomorrow we will start active action against cheaters and hackers in beta matches,” Infinity Ward tweeted yesterday.

The Modern Warfare 2 beta has already implemented anti-cheat measures, as the Ricochet system is fully effective against Call of Duty cheats and hacks. Ricochet uses server-side tools to monitor various game analytics and identify accounts through cheats and hacks. It is currently valid for Vanguard and Warzone, and will also be valid in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
