Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion: First gameplay footage of the remaster from TGS 2022

The YouTube channel of the Famitsu portal has published a game video from Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 ReunionA remastered version of the action RPG for the PSP starring Zack Fair, and seven years before the events of Final Fantasy 7.

The cutscene shows one of the opening episodes of the game where Zack grapples with an infiltration mission into the Wutai realm. For those who haven’t played the original, this is an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the game mechanics, with a combat system that mixes action and menu commands to activate spells, special abilities, and more.

We see some minor skirmishes in the video, but we also see two pretty tough boss fights, one against a pair of trolls armed with a row and the other with an Ifrit. Given the layout of the controls on the screen, the version shown should be PS4 or PS5.

Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion will be available from now 13 December 2022 PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | For S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Here are the system requirements and details about the Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses. This makeover boasts a complete overhaul of HD graphics, a remastered soundtrack, an overhauled interface and an update to the combat system.
