With WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic still on the horizon, it looks like developer Blizzard has its sights set on the immediate future. The gaming giant has begun sending out surveys to various World of Warcraft fans to gauge their interest in WoW Classic expansions beyond Wrath of the Lich King.
WoWHead has obtained an official player survey containing various questions about the Cataclysm expansion. Some of the more basic questions were: “After the release of World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King, what would you like to see the World of Warcraft Classic team do next?” and “How well do you know the original game from 2010?” World of Warcraft: Cataclysm release?
More specific questions from Blizzard focused on Cataclysm zones, game features, and system changes. The company asked what players think of everything from the new raids introduced in the archaeologist profession to the two races that debuted Goblins and Worgen.
Cataclysm is considered a low point in the history of the popular MMORPG, as many players left Azeroth for greener pastures when the expansion flopped in 2010. With the release of this revision, it’s clear that Blizzard is intrigued by the idea of bringing the return of the legendary dragon Deathwing and the release of Cataclysm as the next WoW Classic expansion.
