Developers from the studio Infinity Ward presented in a new video Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 redesigned weapon modification and upgrade system. The new tool, called Gunsmith 2.0, could be of particular joy to players who needed a simplified system of old parts and faster unlocking of individual upgrades.

Following the model of the previous parts, it will be possible, for example, to change the butt, sight, magazine or muzzle of an individual weapon. But Modern Warfare 2 will bring new component in the form of a receiver. As soon as you unlock the receiver by gradually playing the upgrade tree of a certain weapon, a completely new weapon of the same class will be automatically unlocked. You will be able to immediately place already unlocked parts that you have earned by playing with old weapons on this main new weapon.

The result should be less shredding and more variability in the field of customization of individual weapons. Instead of a series of weapons that are incompatible with each other, you get something like a platform on which you can place individual attachments without too many restrictions.

The variability of customization and the number of components are presented by the developers on the M4 assault rifle. You can see more in the second half of the demo. special drawing FJX Cinder, whose owners will have access to more than 50 attachments. This final plan is part of a more expensive version of the game called Vault.
