Blizzard confirms that a Diablo Immortal bug affecting the fantasy game’s store caused some purchases to not process correctly, meaning players were not receiving items after purchasing Diablo Immortal microtransactions in a small number of cases. The team says a fix has been implemented to prevent the issue from happening again in the future, and affected players will now receive their ARPG items in-game.

Several players recently reported an issue where purchases of Diablo Immortal Eternal Orbs were not being delivered correctly in-game. Eternal Orbs and all transactions were successful”, referring to the most expensive set on sale (priced at $99.99 / £89.99 GBP). The player even comments that “I bought legitimate orbs for $99.99 each”, in a cheeky nod to the recent ban in which the whales in Diablo Immortal were penalized for buying cheap orbs from third-party vendors.

The thread creator says that after Diablo Immortal Support initially reported that Google was responsible for the issue, Google Support responded that the response from the Diablo Immortal team was unacceptable. When submitting this response to Blizzard Support, the user reports that a new set of 7,200 Eternal Orbs has been sent to their account, although the “You already own this item” error message was still present in the response.

Diablo Community Manager Adam “PezRadar” Fletcher issued an official update, confirming: “Last week, we investigated reports of a small group of players reporting items that they hadn’t earned through their purchases on the game. Devil Immortal app. He explains that the problem is caused by “a bug that affects the closing window of the payment process.” He then says a fix has been put in place “to ensure no new purchases experience this issue” and adds that the support team is “focused on identifying affected accounts so we can move forward and deliver missing items.”
