Fortnite Rainbow Royale will be back soon. Originally an event that took place last July, Epic told us back in June that we’d be seeing it again, and judging by the Fortnite skybox, it looks like it’s going to happen very soon, just like the skies above. The Fortnite map has become something amazing.
Last year’s event allowed players to unlock four different sprays, a weapon wrap, and a special emote. The purpose of the event is to help celebrate LGBTQIA+ gamers and the wider community, and it’s great to see it return. While many players were looking forward to it in June, it’s great to see this event taking place now to help celebrate diversity for longer.
This year’s event was announced in June in a blog post on Epic’s website. “In honor of the LGBTQIA+ Fortnite community, Rainbow Royale returns to Fortnite in September 2022!” Along with that, you can also briefly get last year’s items from the Item Shop, and the post also mentions Rocket League celebrations at the beginning of the year.
Aside from the event itself, little is known about what will be included this time around or what additional celebrations will take place, but we can probably look forward to some more fun Creative islands and Fortnite skins. We also know for a fact that the event is coming soon, as the sky is currently lit up with a whole network of rainbows and even rainbow-colored meteors falling to the ground.
