This Minecraft Redstone chicken minigame is incredibly weird. It’s not that we’re not used to seeing Redstone’s weird contraptions; after all, we’ve seen the recreation of MS Paint in the game thanks to him and even some cool stuff like the Ghostbusters theme song, but it doesn’t usually involve girls like that.
Chickens are generally protected in Minecraft, unless you’re building a factory farm because you need food. We condemn you for it. However, there’s no denying that chickens are a cute mob in Minecraft, so it’s only natural to see them make their way through a little maze as part of the game. Oh, how cute…or so you thought.
SGHQ posted a video on Reddit titled “Something Machine #2”. We’re giving away some spoilers here as the title is clearly a bit of a mystery, but it’s kind of a wild ride. It begins with the player putting a chicken on a leash and then catching it. From there, they board the elevator and begin to descend, dragging the chicken behind them.
This is where the minigame comes in, as you have to keep the chicken alive and prevent it from being crushed or burned as you and the chicken move around the track. It looks like fun and it’s good to see the first girl get to the bottom after such a dangerous journey. The confusing thing about all this is that even if you get to the bottom, two arrows will shoot the chicken. This is not the win condition we are looking for.
Maybe if the prize were minecraft diamonds it would make more sense, but we’d like to see the live chicken please. If you are the type of person who wants to make their chicken immortal, then you should take a look at how to install Minecraft Forge 1.19. You can then store them in one of these cool Minecraft houses.
