As players flock to the Souls-like game Thymesia, bugs have surfaced that annoy some players. The developers say that the Thymesia patch is coming soon, but in the meantime, they have also shared some fixes for some of the most common issues players are having.
Thymesia’s first PC patch is due “in about a week,” says developer OverBorder Studio in a Steam update. This patch will fix the issues mentioned below, so the developers say don’t worry too much if any of these fixes don’t work for you.
If you can’t switch plague weapons after learning the plague level 2 talent, OverBorder says you can fix it by downloading a new level. If no new levels are unlocked after completing the first “Garden” side quest, OverBorder tells you to return to the level, then opens and closes the door in front of Eisemy.
Another known issue is that mouse input is sometimes not registered. OverBorder states that to fix this issue, you need to go into settings and change “Scale and Layout” to 100%, then exit the game. Locate the Thymesia installation directory and right click on the game executable. Then select “Properties”, click on “Compatibility” and then select “Change high resolution settings”. In this menu, under the High DPI Scaling Override heading, make sure both boxes are checked.
If you find that achievements aren’t working, OverBorder’s advice is simply “wait a few minutes and re-enable.” Pretty easy, we think.
Again, the studio says it’s working on patches that will fix all of these issues, and they should be ready for release on PC within a week. Someone has already beaten Timesia’s final boss without taking a single hit, so check it out before trying some of these workarounds.
