Welcome to the overview of the events of the domestic and foreign esports scene. A lot of interesting things happened in the first half of August. Unprecedented changes have taken place in CS:GO teams, the Grunex Challenge has started and preparations for the Valorant Major are in full swing.
Casting for CS:GO teams
Managers of professional Counter Strike teams shuffled the cards a lot. Vitality’s Franco-Danish lineup is struggling with what will likely be a replacement for Kevin “misutaa” Rabier, whom Vitality wants to trade for Israeli Lotan “Spinx” Giladi. There is speculation that Kevin “misutaa” Rabier may join the squealing Evil Geniuses. Big changes await the G2 team. In particular, Captain Alexi “Alexib” Virolainen and Audric “JACKS” Jag. How Aleksib’s career will continue is unclear, but JACKZE is set to replace veteran Australian player Justin “jks” Savage, who is currently out of contract.
Challenge of Granex
The biggest series of CZ/SK tournaments in Valorant is in full swing. Sixteen Czech and Slovak teams will compete for a prize pool of 55,000 CZK. Path to Valorant Major
Team M3 Champions and Team Liquid will meet this afternoon. The stakes are really high. Only one of them will secure a spot in the biggest Valorant tournament, the Valorant Major. The Czech representation represented by the Acend team, unfortunately, lost to M3 Champions. Acend suffered from poor results during the season and fell far behind the competition. The fact that they pulled Travis “L1NK” Mandoza from Team Liquid didn’t help. You can watch the final battle to qualify for the Valorant Major on the official Twitch channel starting today at 16:00.
