Aniplex and Joycity have announced a new mobile strategy game called Resident Evil: Survival Unit will be out in a week for Android And iOS. It will be available for free download on the Google Play Store and App Store. Most countries around the world will have it from November 17, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Myanmar and Mongolia won’t see it until early 2026.
Unlike the main parts of the series, built on horror and action, Resident Evil: Survival Unit focuses on real-time strategy and base building. You find yourself in the ruins of a city affected by an unknown infection, and with a small group of survivors you must find resources, strengthen yourself and survive in an inhospitable world.
The basis of everything is an abandoned mansion, which you will gradually turn into a fortified fortress. You will either lead a team of survivors – from fighters to scientists and technicians – and decide whether they will join forces with other groups of survivors or fight them for territory.
Fans of Resident Evil can look forward to a completely new story that will expand the universe of the series with a new event. Familiar faces will appear in the plot – Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentinewho this time will have to rely not only on weapons, but mainly on strategic thinking. Every decision about how to position the defense or where to send the team will affect the chances of survival.
