A Minecraft fan has recreated the Ghostbusters theme and it made us feel good

Minecraft players like to have a good holiday. Sometimes it’s a place, like recreating the house from Stranger Things, and sometimes it’s much more complex, like people recreating Elden Ring in a sandbox game. This time it’s a recreation of Minecraft Ghostbusters, except it’s more musical.

Raevix posted a video on Reddit with a simple question: “Who you gonna call?” We all know that the answer to this question is nobody, texting is easier. Just kidding, this is clearly a reference to Ghostbusters, and Raevix features an incredibly intricate and impressive music machine made of red stone that plays the classic tune from the movie.

3k Notes, 2:40 minutes of music, lots of redstone spaghetti. Who are you going to call? of Minecraft

All of this speaks not only to the brilliance of the song and Redstone, but also to the absurd level of patience Revix must have. The complexity alone is enough to make most of us cry here, but sticking with it and trying it an unfathomable number of times must be stressful to get right.

As Raevix explains in his article, the almost 3000 notes required for this would have been too much for a linear circuit, so they had to get creative. “It occurred to me that there are enough repeats in the song that I could save space by dividing the song into cycles and creating a logic circuit that gradually turns the cycles on and off to create the full song.”

Although this version was created in creative mode, now they want to go into survival mode and start over. You can even download the world file to see it in action. Of course, you may not need it, because it’s constantly in your head now, isn’t it?
