The changes won’t be that noticeable to most players, but the implications of Epic not returning the item are interesting, mainly because it will likely mean we’ll see Shockwave Grenade again.
It seems strange to switch between them seemingly at random, but we’re sure there’s a logical reason for it. While Shockwave Grenade is slightly more powerful than Impulse Grenade, the latter is easier to carry because you can have more stacks at once, but it also serves as a more aggressive option. This is because Shockwave Grenade makes players immune to fall damage, unlike Impulse. Many players may not notice it, but it can have a huge impact on those who play more competitively.
For Zero Build players, this is probably less of a change than for those who build sixteen-story towers in a flash. Without the added verticality of player-built buildings, the difference in fall damage between the two items shouldn’t be too noticeable. However, it’s still nice when things like this shake up the game, even if it’s just a minor thing.
