Minecraft is updated in the same way most of us navigate the Tupperware boxes we receive when ordering takeout. We only received The Wild update 1.19 last month, but we can still glimpse the changes coming to version 1.19.1 of the game through previews and snapshots. The latest Minecraft update is out now and it brings specific changes to the creation game chat.
By now, you are probably already familiar with the chat messaging features that Mojang will add to Minecraft, especially since many people are concerned about them, even though Mojang has published an article discussing some issues related to them. Minecraft 1.19.1 Preview 2 contains a chat trust status that basically tells players if the server is manipulating player messages.
This should make players more comfortable with moderation tools, but it won’t solve some people’s privacy issues. It will work by using a combination of colored indicators and icons to show the status of a message, whether it is unsafe, modified, or completely normal.
However, there is another bit of information in the news post, and that is that Mojang has delayed the release of 1.19.1 for the time being. “This is to address some of our most notable issues,” says Mojang, “we haven’t decided on a new release date yet, but it won’t be too far in the future.” While it could be related to many things, we wouldn’t be surprised if it all had to do with chat reports.
If you’re looking for more than just chat moderation, you’ll be happy to hear that the Minecraft Marketplace is on sale. Also, someone built a tank. Yes, working, without the use of mods.
