Fortunately, it seems all is not lost if you recently found yourself in this position, as the company is offering a second chance to get your hands on its gaming laptop PC.
If you miss the Steam Deck order window, you can now use the “few days” grace period to complete your purchase if you still want to get your hands on the portable powerhouse. Valve has confirmed this through its Twitter account, recommending that all affected users contact Steam Support.

Given the unholy length of Steam Deck backorders, it’s good to see Valve introduce a system that should help those who don’t even realize their preorder is ready to go. We just hope we don’t have to wait too long for our official Steam Deck to arrive after a recent delay.
In the meantime, though, the best third-party Steam Deck docks are perfect for turning Valve’s laptop into a kind of desktop system.
