BioWare announced the first Dragon Age Netflix series during Geeked Week, Dragon Age: Absolution. This anime series is coming to Netflix in December 2022 and although it is set in a place familiar to fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition, everything is completely new. The news comes just days after BioWare announced the official title for Dragon Age 4.
Set in Tevinter, a key location in Dragon Age: Inquisition, Absolution introduces new characters drawn from Dragon Age lore, including elves, knights, Qunari, demons, and wizards. BioWare and Netflix also teased “other special surprises” for the cast, and while there’s still no word on Absolution’s release date in the Dragon Age timeline, we’d be surprised if there wasn’t even the slightest hint of a release date. connection with certain franchises. . most famous people
Maygred Scott (Guardians of the Galaxy) is the showrunner for Dragon Age: Absolution, and Red Dog House of Culture will produce the show. Red Dog also manages The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf for Netflix and worked on The Good Hunt, an animated short included in the Love, Death + Robots collection.
Meanwhile, we can see some of the cast in action in the first trailer for Dragon Age: Absolution. While we don’t know what’s going on just yet, there seems to be a lot going on in the series.
The trailer switches between caves, intense battles outside a desert temple, bloodied faces, and a giant floating gold ring. If popular culture has taught us anything, it is that gold rings, especially sensitive ones, often bring bad news to everyone.
As we strive to uncover the story behind it, these are the characters with the most potential. BioWare has been thinking a lot about Dragon Age characters lately, acknowledging that Dragon Age 2’s cast is what brought the game to its fans and promising some of Dragon Age’s most interesting and well-developed characters to date.
