“Imagine a place where all video games, consoles and accessories are physically in one place.” this is the vision of the Embracer Games Archive.
The company started work on the archive last year and has so far managed to assemble it in Karlstad, Sweden. 50,000 games, consoles and accessories. This number is expected to increase over time.

“By creating the archive, we want to pay tribute to this culture and preserve it for years to come.” states that the Embracer Group now wants to build a database and work with other initiatives, museums and institutions in the future to create a complete video game museum that could go beyond Sweden’s international exhibitions.
But it’s not just museums and exhibitions. The Embracer Group wants to make it possible to explore video games through the archive.
