Abandoned, Hideo Kojima denies affiliation with the game

There is Hideo Kojima back abandoned? This is a theory that has been in effect for months and that BlueBox Studio and Hasan Kahraman have undoubtedly benefited from in terms of promotion, but the Japanese game designer denied involvement in game development.

He did this in the final episode of his podcast, where he tackled rumors of the exclusivity of Death Stranding 2 for Google Stadia. In short, it was a moment when Kojima pulled a few pebbles out of his shoe.

“People keep sending me pictures of this Hasan,” the author said. “They give me at least twenty of these collages and photomontages a day, and it’s been a real nuisance.”

“When we did the Moby Dick thing, you (Geoff Keighley, Editor’s note) got involved with the whole project and it was a lot of fun, but people should know that I’m not going to do the same thing twice.”

The reference in this case is to the bizarre revelation of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as you may recall, performed by a masked Kojima under a false name: the reason why many believe the same thing happened with Abandoned.

“I’ve never spoken to Hasan and the game is not out yet. I don’t think there’s much he can do or say at this point. But if he gets the game out, people will understand, so maybe he should get one. Go ahead and publish it.”
