Granzella development studio, R-Type Final 3 Enhanced for PS5 From the pages of the Japanese magazine Famitsu release month: March 2023. For those who don’t know what we’re talking about, it will be a revised and corrected version of R-Type Final 2 and will include all content released after launch (three-stage pass, last one still missing DLC and various extras) and graphics overhaul.
R-Type Final 3 was announced for other platforms a while ago, incidentally: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PS4. Now the PS5 version has also appeared, which is handled separately so it’s unclear whether it will differ from the others.
There’s talk of PlayStation VR 2 support, metaverse areas for online lobbies, mini-games, and over 100 usable spaceships. The announcement also mentions seven special levels, but it’s unclear whether these will be in version 3 of the game or just the PS5 version. We’ll have to wait to find out more and know if R-Type Final 3 Evolved will be the final version of the shooter of Granzella, the son of a very prestigious story series.
