Genshin Impact 2.7 Live Stream Dates Have Been Changed

The developers of Genshin Impact said in a comment on Facebook that the live stream of Update 2.7 has been delayed.

The release of Update 2.7 was speculation propagated by popular leak reports such as: Facio_Leaks from Twitter. They said the live event is set to take place on or around April 29. Although it has been suggested, Genshin Impact has yet to make a statement regarding this information.

Commenting on the web event wallpapers recently released under an unrelated Facebook post, miHoYo said, “The special schedule for version 2.7 has been temporarily delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

After confirming the leak, players who still postponed the event wondered when the update would be released. Here’s what we know so far.

While a specific date has yet to be announced, there are underlying conditions that could delay this further. The spread and shutdown of COVID-19 in China has affected daily life in the region as well as the development of the workplace. The exception is Shanghai-based miHoYo. They are trying to focus on the development of Genshin Impact in the midst of this crisis.

Weeks before the scheduled release date, Reddit user Ka_Minnn predicted that the event would be delayed due to COVID-19 and various other reasons. This includes the cancellation of the teapot event and the latest version of the 2.6 event, which will run until May 13.

At the time of this writing, we believe the live stream will not take place after May 13th due to the recent 2.6 event and developer security. This means that the delay could be several weeks.
