Atmospheric demonstration was able to scare and surprise.

This year, with a partner, we are spoiling, we also go to the largest game fair.

I will not exaggerate when I say that in the game this year the Japanese company Capcom completely prevails, which this time brought to Cologne three large, expected names that will enter the market next year. And, of course, the most anticipated of them is the Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth episode of the famous horror series Surrevival, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary next year. Despite the extremely long queue, I got to Re9, and I could try the first playable demonstration that Capcom released into the world, or into the rooms of the Cologne exhibition center.

Graphic magic

The introductory cat -scene shows one of the greatest advantages of the game, and this, like the usual, with CAPCOM, is audiovisual. The developers and the RE engine came from a constantly looking rima of four, and this is obvious, especially on the incredibly detailed model of the character of the protagonist Grace Ashcroft, including the physics of sweat or hair.

But the audiovisuals are most impressive, paradoxically, where it is at least visible during the game. The demonstration actually consisted of a small space of several rooms, but completely lit spaces were rather an exception, and you needed to need a flashing light that could come out at any time, or later a small light light. In short, the lighting looks incredible and creates an extremely strong atmosphere that rose to me even in the not -so -terrible spaces of exhibition sites full of people.

Sound does not lag behind

Well, for the audiovisual to be completed, I must thank the second part, that is, sound. It is also traditionally high quality in Re, and the requiem is no exception. Each sound of hacking the doors, turning off light or fall, the object can scare you properly, especially even sounds that you do not even know what their origin is. In any case, there are no iconic sounds of an object or viewing inventory to make sure that you really play Resident Evil.

Of course, all this also contributes to the voice actress Grace, who adds the character to the believable. As an FBI agent, she can cope, but she is not ready for such a situation, and in her voice you will hear frightening from what is happening around, and the determination to do everything to make him escape alive. I think that you find your way to grace quickly, as well as the new character worked very well in seven, where Ethan Wklaim first appeared. Although Grace already has a large and more interesting character than ethane version of RE7.

Stalker from nightmares

After Grace gets rid of the handcuffs in which he is attached, he goes on an excursion on a seemingly abandoned building. It was a survey of the environment, and he was not particularly emphasis on the gameplay, which reminded me of a lot of the first (girlish) demonstration for Re8, which was also built in a similar spirit. In fact, the main game content is to collect objects and their subsequent correct use to open the way. Even in a very small area, there is an important part of the return, during which the environment is easy to change, or you can see it (literally) in another light, which is absolutely cool and I can’t wait to see it on a wider scale.

As in the case, Grace, of course, is not alone in the building, and after a while an undesirable guest in the form of a completely looking monster, which pursues you on the rest of the demonstration. The developers gave all the possible of all stalkers: Mr. X, who really pursues you through the rooms, and the frightening agent of the monster from the Benwino family in RE8, simply expelled to a much higher level – can largely resemble Lida Trevor from the Number ONE RIMEK. If all the excerpts of the last games are so exciting, we really have something to wait impatiently.

Innovations are not afraid of the creators

During the demonstration, you will not get any firearms, but you have glass bottles that can lure the enemy. Of course, this is a common mechanics from the point of view of video games, but this is a novelty for Resident Evil. Given the changes in the four of the four, where the possibility of killing secrecy was added, this is natural development, and the game can sell even more defenseless if you have only an extremely limited number of objects that can only temporarily lure the enemy. I just hope that this part of the game will not be too long, because this feeling will be achieved after a while and can change in disappointment. In the end, Re mainly concerns firearms and investigation of cartridges.

In any case, the camera was also affected by the camera that, as we knew, you can change during the game. Given the essence of the demonstration, I chose the prospect of the first person that can cause the aforementioned strong atmosphere in narrow corridors, but I believe that a greater action will be reproduced from the 3rd point of view. In the end, the switch between them can bring the best experience.

In all aspects of the configured

Finally, I would even point to the technical side, which was surprisingly excellent. Of course, RE Engine turned out to be a closed world, but I was afraid of significant updates. Fortunately, at least at the moment. At the PlayStation 5, the demonstration worked in completely smooth 60 frames per second without a single visible jam, in addition to excellent image quality without problems with pseudonym or other artifacts. Therefore, we just have to hope that the rest of the game will be configured.

In general, I enjoyed the first demonstration incredibly incredibly, and still confirmed that this is my sovereignly the most anticipated game next year. It seems that the creative director of Kozim Kozim was able to find a recipe for fantastic residential evil, as well as with a magnificent return to the center of attention in the form of seven. Requiem, of course, has a chance to become one of the best, if not the best game in the series, but, of course, this is so soon. We will have to wait for additional information, including confirmation of the constantly looking Leon Kennedy, who should play the second main role along with Grace. I hope this will be confirmed.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27 on a PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | Sat.
