Korean MMORPG that has been in business for over a decade TERA will close its doors exactly at 10:00 this summer 30 June 2022. The announcement came from western publisher Gameforce, which confirmed that the servers were shut down by the decision of the Bluehole developers, and thanked the community for the support they’ve received all these years.
“TERA developers Bluehole have decided to stop working on the game. After much deliberation, the team in South Korea has come to the conclusion that they can no longer offer you the exciting and satisfying content you deserve. As TERA’s latest publisher, we reluctantly comply with Bluehole’s decision and We have to close the game.” reads the Gameforge post, promising a series of farewell events from there until the servers go down.
“TERA’s servers will shut down at 10:00 CEST on June 30, 2022. Until then, there will be perennial events in Arborea in hopes you can enjoy at least these last few months.”
As mentioned earlier, TERA servers will close their doors on June 30, 2022. However, from 31 March it will no longer be possible to open new accounts and purchase Tera Thalers, while TERA Club purchases will be disabled from 31 May. For more details we recommend that you read the official FAQ here.
Launched in Europe on May 3, 2012, TERA has been a huge success worldwide over time, reaching 28 million players worldwide in 2018. However, it seems that the number of new content has been increasing in recent years. decreased and the servers slowly drained, eventually leading Bluehole to the decision to shut down the servers forever.
