EA SPORTS FC™ today announced the integration of Z5 Pitch into the EA SPORTS FC 24 VOLTA FOOTBALL™ game mode. The real-life pitch, located at the Z5 Sports Complex in Aix-en-Provence, has been reproduced in-game and is now available in Volta Squads mode in VOLTA FOOTBALL and 4v4 Rush/5v5 in VOLTA FOOTBALL Kick-Off. Earlier this year, EA SPORTS FC partnered with EA SPORTS FC 24 ICON and Global Ambassador Zinedine Zidane to open a base camp at the Z5 Sports Complex as part of the FC FUTURES initiative; working closely with a football legend to provide access, training, learning and development for disadvantaged children in the region. To announce the initiative, Zidane organized a nationwide training session at the Z5 sports complex with local children, along with former teammate David Beckham.
“If you told me when I was younger that I would be taking part in a game like FC 24, I wouldn’t have believed it.” – said Zinedine Zidane. “Z5 is a family project that is very close to my heart, and after working with EA SPORTS FC earlier this year to launch the new course, now being able to play a game as big as FC 24 is a huge milestone. ; It’s truly incredible.”

In April of this year, EA SPORTS™ introduced FC FUTURES; plan to invest a significant US$10 million in community football globally. Z5 Pitch was partially funded by EA SPORTS FC, and its community launch is just one of a series of FC FUTURES activations that have occurred as part of EA SPORTS FC’s commitment to leverage its platform at the intersection of virtual and real-life football to improve access to the sport and grow the game for everyone.
