Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU wins the hearts and wallets of Steam users

Steam’s April 2023 hardware review is here, and the results point to the rise of a new popular graphics card champion: the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. It’s taken an unusually long time to get to its expected place as a platform. the most popular GPU, but the pixel pusher now sits comfortably on top with comfortable headroom.

Most people generally consider the Class 60 model of each GeForce generation to be the best value graphics card out there, and the RTX 3060 is no exception. The GPU now occupies 10.44% of Steam users’ systems after an increase of 6.23% from last month. Meanwhile, the RTX 2060 and GTX 1060 trail behind the pixel maker with a share of 7.89% and 7.69%, respectively.

It took the RTX 3060 about three years to achieve this feat, but it’s hard to say if its reign as Steam’s highest-performing GPU will last that long. We expect the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 release date to arrive in the not too distant future and it could be a tempting upgrade path for those with 10 and 20 series cards.

However, it looks like the RTX 40 series still has a long way to go before it wins Steam Hardware Review. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 remains the most popular DLSS 3-compliant card, but it only accounts for 0.25% of Valve-powered gaming PCs. However, the RTX 4080 fared worse at 0.19%, and even the cheapest GPU in the stack, the RTX 4070 Ti, only had 0.23%.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 release date is likely to be next, and it could be the champion of the pixel push as the company looks to capture broader market share. We’ll have a video card review before launch, so stay tuned!
