“Operation Sapphire Jackal” will offer players daily and weekly challenges in multiplayer and co-op modes, a wide range of cosmetics and much more. Challenges are randomly selected and range from “Destroy 50 vehicles with anti-tank weapons” to “Achieve 50 veteran positions in the Wehrmacht infantry”, testing even the most experienced Company of Heroes players.
Relic’s first major update also includes a significant number of bug fixes, gameplay balance adjustments, and quality of life improvements such as a new voice-over for Gurk’s infantry, updates to the “Unique Player Color” option to lighten up teammates and enemies, audio tweaks and a popup. and tooltip improvements to better reflect abilities, units, veterans, and upgrades. Alongside Operation Sapphire Jackal, new in-game cosmetics have been released allowing players to customize their armies and units in both multiplayer and single player modes. Relic will offer a balanced mix of earned and premium content so that players can freely choose how they want to interact with the content after launch via the in-game store.
Items can be purchased from war bonds or Merit. war bonds is a form of in-game currency that can only be obtained by purchasing bundles war bondwhile Merit it is an in-game currency that can be obtained by completing in-game tasks. Merit can be used to purchase some but not all items.
