New Nvidia RTX 4070 price leaks come and go, and the main graphics card contender could be as little as $50 cheaper than its more powerful Nvidia sibling, the RTX 4070 Ti. The latest rumors also suggest that this time we will have a Founder’s Edition model accompanied by more expensive custom models.
Price is clearly a big deal for Nvidia right now, so much so that the RTX 4070 could be paired with a cheaper RTX 3060 with GDDR6X video memory. Choosing the latter will naturally break your bank account less, but it will mean missing out on pioneering PC gaming features like DLSS 3 and frame generation. So whether we like it or not, Nvidia needs to fill a gap in the next-gen mid-range segment and take a break from the premium GPU part.
Unfortunately, there is reason to believe that the price of the Nvidia RTX 4070 could reach $749.99 as pricing rumors have surfaced. According to trusted tech YouTuber Moore’s Law is dead, experts say the first wave of April 12 cards “can’t cost more” than previous ones, but custom cards can cost “at least” $799.99. .
If you don’t believe this latest RTX 4070 rumor, you’re not alone, as MLID says that they have indeed argued with their sources about the accuracy of the pricing information. However, the source says that the evidence has been provided and that the details come from some of their best sources.
In other words, there’s a good chance the RTX 4070 will be priced at $749.99, which means we’ll have to wait even longer for a proper mid-range GPU. Naturally, Nvidia has yet to confirm an official MSRP, so we suggest having a grain of salt on hand. That said, it’s still a worrying sign of things to come, and potentially means the Lovelace card won’t come anywhere near the $499 price tag of its RTX 3070 predecessor.
